Anyone have Trudeau spending fatigue??

Justin Trudeau is on private trips with Katy Perry while RCMP officers still travel with him. Flights. Hotels. Meals. Overtime. Sources told Journal de Montréal it can be three or four federal officers at a time. The force will not publish the number or the cost. Operational security, they say.

While he was prime minister, protecting him already ran more than $30 million a year. That was nearly three times what it cost to protect Jean Chrétien. Now he is a private citizen on red carpets and concert dates, and Canadians still cannot see what that escort costs.

A former PM can have a threat assessment. Fine. That is not a blank cheque and a blackout. If the RCMP is doing advance work at concert venues so he can play boyfriend on the taxpayer clock, Parliament should see the invoice.

We paid for the decade. We’re still paying for the afterparty.
