Obviously, the idea of a brokered (or "open" if you're being generous) convention has been a major topic on the GOP side of the 2016 election. Now, however, it's looking more and more likely that the Republicans aren't the only ones who have to be concerned with the notion. It appears Bernie's campaign manager Jeff Weaver has taken a look at his candidate’s electoral prospects and is clinging to the notion that Hillary's superdelegates will abandon her when the chips are down.Bernie Sanders's campaign manager insisted Tuesday that the Vermont senator will win the Democratic nomination over Hillary Clinton at the party's convention this summer. "I think what this campaign is looking for and what the senator is looking for is going into the convention and coming out with the nomination," Jeff Weaver said on CNN's "New Day." "When we arrive at the convention, it will be an open convention, likely with neither candidate having a majority of pledged delegates," Weaver told host Chris Cuomo. As you might expect, that idea isn't sitting well with the one, true, candidate-whose-turn-it-is, Hillary Clinton. She's waited a long time for this, and she'll be damned if anyone is going to
Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said in a memo published Monday evening that Clinton has built a "nearly insurmountable lead" among delegates and "the Sanders campaign's path forward relies on overturning the will of the voters."
