Christy Clark scored highest amongst BC Liberal leadership candidates in a comprehensive policy survey conducted by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF), followed by Kevin Falcon.
The four BC Liberal leadership candidates provided the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, Canada's oldest and largest taxpayers' rights organization, with detailed responses to 12 policy questions, ranging from the future of the harmonized sales tax to the timetable for balancing the B.C. budget.

This is not an endorsement of Christy Clark, Kevin Falcon, or anybody else," said Gregory Thomas, BC Communications Director of the CTF. "We just did the math. We take Christy Clark, Kevin Falcon, Mike de Jong, and George Abbott at their word."
Thomas said the survey shows most BC Liberal leadership candidates are badly out of step with the public on the HST, balanced budgets, government spending, public sector pay packages, and the rate hikes proposed by BC Ferries and BC Hydro.
"Only Kevin Falcon is committed to cutting the HST. Only Christy Clark says she will try to balance the BC budget before 2013."
"We're shocked by candidates defending exhorbitant public-sector pay packages and multi-billion-dollar borrowing. 700,000 signatures on the HST petition still don't seem to carry a lot of weight."
