Col. Russell Williams Faces 82 New Charges



The courtroom in Belleville Ontario was packed with most people waiting for the video link appearance of Col. Russell Williams, the former commander of CFB Trenton.

Williams was arrested on Feb. 7, 2010 and charged with two counts of first degree murder as well as two counts each of forcible confinement and break, enter and sexual assault. Shortly before his April 29, 2010 court appearance, the Crown laid 82 more charges against Williams who is still receiving his military salary of $12,000 per month. The charges include break, enter and theft, break and enter with the intent to commit an indictable offence and attempted break and enter.
