Days before Mother Teresa is canonized, nuns working in order she founded are beaten, gagged


Barely a week before its founder, Mother Teresa of Calcutta, is to be canonized by Pope Francis in Rome, three thugs entered a Missionaries of Charity convent in Mar del Plata, Argentina, and beat and gagged five nuns. Police said the men restrained the nuns so they could not cry for help while they ransacked every corner of the house, which provides free care for terminally ill HIV and AIDS patients.
