Good morning to everybody! Welcome back to Miz Judi's Kitchen," and I hoped you enjoyed your last visit! Let me tell you though how much we appreciate your comments, recipes, and all your helpful tips...please, keep them coming!

Well, I see Dub's beat me to the kitchen this morning, but I did get to hear about half what he was telling you. Lordy, that man loves to talk worse than any woman I know, and I can't understand for the life of me how women are branded as the talkers?? Is my situation just different from you other ladies, or are most of us in the same boat together? I'd love to hear a few comments from some of you in that regard! While I was listening to him, and that's exactly what you have to do once he gets to rolling, I got to thinking back about 25 years ago when we'd first started seeing each other. Oh, he was aggravatin' back then as well, maybe worse. Think back for just a second ladies, then tell me if I'm wrong in this assessment. Back then when they were, what's the word, "cocky," that's what I was looking for! Don't you remember em "struttin' around," couldn't tell em nothing, well I sure do, this one anyway! To you younger ladies, heed a word of advice. If you are dating a man, not seriously, but casually, and you find yourself in a pinch once in awhile, it's fine to borrow a little money from your boyfriend. Remember now, this is only if you feel your relationship with them is once more, only a casual one, and won't lead into marriage. Let me make it real simple...Do Not Marry Them Once You've Borrowed Money From Them!! Now I'm going to tell you why. Here's my point to all this. When Dub and I were dating, the transmission in my car went out. Well, I was struggling two feed my two boys, keep a job, and everything else that goes with being a single Mom. I thought that Dub just might "loan" me the money to have my transmission repaired...and he did. I think back then it was around $350.00, but I'm sure Mr. Throw it up on occasion can tell you to the penny...oh yea, interest included by the way. Well, I know I have paid the man back at least 4 or 5 times, but no, we get in any type of argument what's the first thing he brings up? "I fixed that dern transmission for you Deb, helped you out when you needed it, man, I'm awful good to you!" Now ladies, this has been in the neighborhood of 25 years ago, think about that a minute...that's a quarter of a century for God's sake! He'll still do it to this day though, "I fixed"...I could just slap him sometimes! Once more, this is my advice to all you younger ladies, Do Not Borrow Money From Your Boyfriend, If You Plan On Marrying The Man!! You'll never, ever, pay it back to hear them tell it, forget about it! In all honesty we laugh about this from time to time, and Dub does bring it up ever so often picking at me, but it does still make me wonder about them. If they can remember things such as this transmission for an example, why is it, they don't seem to remember things like, we are supposed to go to dinner tonight, it's my birthday or our anniversary, etc. ? Men! Until next time, keep a smile on your face, and one in your heart! God Bless each and every one of you! Deb

Dub and Deb——

‘Ridin Out The Recession With Dub and Deb in “Miz Judi’s Kitchen’!

Note to Readers: There are a few things that Dub doesn’t know but one thing he does know is that the word ‘Riding’ (as in Riding Out the Recession) is spelled with a ‘g’ at the end.  But Dub not only walks the walk, but speaks like he is: down home, true blue, and plain speakin’ country folk.

Dub and Deb are both native Floridians, live in Central Florida, and run a small business as well. They have five children, and seven grandchildren.

Both love to cook, love to laugh, grow a garden, and generally try to “aggravate” most anyone around them basically…all in good fun, of course!
