Deb’s Macaroni, Beef, and Maters

Deb’s Macaroni, Beef, and Maters

  • 2 lbs. hamburger
  • 1 1pound box elbow Macaroni
  • 5 16 oz. cans diced tomatoes (matters)
  • I large onion
  • 1-2 regular jars of Ragu Spaghetti Sauce
  • (mushrooms, bell pepper optional)

Boil macaroni and drain. Dump tomatoes into large pot and warm over med. heat on stovetop. In skillet break up hamburger into small pieces and brown along with diced onion, then drain. Add to pot with tomatoes, bring to boil, then reduce heat to possibly #4 setting on stove and simmer for around 15-20 minutes. Add cooked macaroni and stir in well. Simmer another 10 minutes, then add Ragu Sauce until all your sauce reaches the consistency you desire. Some like it a little thinner, others a little thicker, it’s your call. We usually add one whole jar. Bring to another slight boil, take off heat, and serve. What’s left over…we Foodsaver and freeze for later.

‘Ridin Out The Recession With Dub and Deb in “Miz Judi’s Kitchen’!

Note to Readers: There are a few things that Dub doesn’t know but one thing he does know is that the word ‘Riding’ (as in Riding Out the Recession) is spelled with a ‘g’ at the end.  But Dub not only walks the walk, but speaks like he is: down home, true blue, and plain speakin’ country folk.

Dub and Deb are both native Floridians, live in Central Florida, and run a small business as well. They have five children, and seven grandchildren.

Both love to cook, love to laugh, grow a garden, and generally try to “aggravate” most anyone around them basically…all in good fun, of course!
