People like Karl Rove liked to keep the racism very covert. And so Herman Cain provides this great opportunity say you can say ‘Look, this is not a racist, anti-immigrant, anti-female, anti-gay movement. Look we have a black man.Yes, only in the illogical world of the hatemongers of the far left-wing can this make sense. Think about this claim. Garofalo is saying that a person that hates blacks will love a black man so that he can hide that he hates blacks! There is no sense to this whatsoever. You see, the thing that makes racism so potent is that it is unapologetic. Racists feel no compunction to hide the fact that they are racists. Their hate is visceral, not incidental. Their hate is the purpose of the concept, not just an accidental by product that can be pushed aside or ignored. So, to say that someone can love the thing they hate to hide that they hate it… well, this is idiotic in the extreme. But that is the left. Garofalo’s foolishness is no different than the moral idiocy of someone that says that the U.S. is just the same as China or Iran, or that Israel is a “terrorist state.” These people are so filled with hate for their political enemies and, consequently, so arrogant in their belief of their personal sagacity, that reality becomes entirely fungible and nothing has any real meaning at all. Anything can be bent, mutilated, or flat out ignored to fit their ideological point of view. It gives one pause and evokes a certain amount of sympathy for the idea that liberalism a mental disorder, doesn’t it?
