Get off your high horse about the 12-Day War

Regarding Operation Midnight Hammer, there are well-respected commentators who are hammering in a wedge among Trump supporters.

Steve Bannon wasn’t called out by name in the column linked here, but perhaps he should have been. Why? Because he’s inadvertently (is he?) stirring up dissent against President Trump. How? By stating that DNI Gabbard was right in what she offered as an assessment (couched in IC terms per Jim Rickards on WarRoom, 6/27/25) of Iranian nuclear capabilities when the president stated clearly, twice, the characterization implied by the press was wrong.

To whom should we be attuned? Bannon who, as much expertise as he does have, does not have inside intel and accuses Netanyahu of lying; or the president, who does have full briefing, and made executive decisions accordingly. The years’ long development of a program to meet an expected nuclear threat from Iran was implemented. Whether it was necessary to move now or in a few months, is an argument that only sows dissonance and opposition, when this administration needs solidarity from the public that gave Trump his mandate.

Bannon is correctly venerated for his literacy on many issues, but in this instance he and others are inspiring discord as much as the pro-war pundits pushing the U.S. toward repeating the folly of Iraqi regime change.

Tunneling down the rabbit hole of lambasting Israel, when the restricted support by the U.S. is accomplished, appears to be an attempt to salvage reputability following heartfelt, if not overdone, resistance to the president’s intervention on any level.

The unwavering attacks on Netanyahu, whose assessment of imminent threat would, by nature, be different for his nation than it is for ours, undermines Bannon’s usual astute analysis and established passion for truth. There are loyal viewers who are content that the president, supporting Israel’s prime minister, subdued a self-stated menace to both Israel and the USA. Mimicking its proxies Hamas and Hezb’ollah, Iran dragged its feet in negotiations, confirming the dishonesty of zealot mullahs who believe it’s their duty to lie to infidels, especially ones they’ve dubbed “Great” and “Little Satan.”

For one who says “we don’t have the luxury” to divert our attention to Ukraine or the Middle East, in which it is agreed, that’s what Bannon did by inserting reference to the 12-Day War into virtually every interview.

As a staunch WarRoom follower with a small voice, constantly beating the drum about Middle East involvement – described as “limited” by the president – is viewed as not helping us focus on the border, AI, energy, judicial insurrection, election integrity, eliminating budgetary waste and fraud, and mass deportation.

Additionally, it was a stretch to characterize the NYC primary win of Zohran Mamdani as a “referendum on Netanyahu.” It smacks of the ludicrous antisemitic accusations that Jews run all the financial institutions and media that riddles social media.

Mamdani is undeniably an oxymoronic pro-Palestinian, LGBTQ sympathizing Muslim, communist antisemite, who is pandering to every radical voter in New York he can. In appealing to the madrasas and mosques, DEI proponents, and youth indoctrinated by the school system to despise everything American, capitalist, or Israeli, Mamdani’s message is convoluted and confused, to say the least.

What the mayoral primary is evidence of, is the destruction of the public education system that’s fueled an internal hate for America, degenerating our moral nature and culture. This perspective was arrived at after spending 30-plus years teaching college as a conservative, working to reverse the damage done to students by communist professors.

Those who feel it necessary to validate their opinion by disparaging President Trump’s judgment, possibly costing his administration the solid backing he needs by dividing his constituents, should set aside their indignation, self-justification, and pride. This includes the “forever wars” proponents who can’t seem to leave well enough alone.

President Trump is moving ahead on what counts for this nation and the rest of us should do the same.
