Have no fear, Baltimore. Al Sharpton is coming to your rescue
Things are starting to quiet down in Baltimore and, if you're a money grubbing shakedown artist civil rights activist Al Sharpton, that just won't do.
Sharpton has always found ways to profit from chaos and strife, so why would he let the riots just peter out? That's simply a wasted opportunity. Add to that the fact that the violence has pushed Hillary Clinton's litany of scandals out of the headlines for a week and you realize that Al's got all the motivation he needs to fire up the outrage machine. We've seen him do this over and over. He waits until things die down, and then does whatever he can to spin them back up before fundraising off the ensuing, renewed, anger. This time, his plan is to organize a completely heartfelt and not-at-all-self-serving 2-day march from Baltimore to DC. The event will pretend to be an effort to raise awareness about a host of recent police brutality cases. In reality, it will be about raising cash for an MSNBC host who needs to pay off a massive delinquent tax bill. As CNN reports:

Rev. Al Sharpton is headed to Baltimore this week to meet with community leaders and plan a march from that city to Washington, D.C. to ramp up pressure on federal officials to take action on racial bias in policing. Sharpton announced his plans Monday as Baltimore erupted into chaos on the same day as the funeral for Freddie Gray, the young black man from Baltimore who died in police custody. As businesses were looted and police cars destroyed and set on fire, community leaders were quick to condemn the rioting as unproductive to their cause. Sharpton, a civil rights activist who sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 2004, hopes to organize a two-day march from Baltimore to Washington in May. "The march will bring the case of Freddie Gray, Eric Garner, Walter Scott, Eric Harris to the new Attorney General, Loretta Lynch. Ms. Lynch, in her new role that we all supported, must look and intervene in these cases," Sharpton said in a press release. "Justice delayed is justice denied."
Pssst. Hey Al, "justice has been delayed" in that little matter of the millions you owe the IRS. I guess that means it's also been denied. Obviously, not everyone is thrilled with this plan since the presence of a career race-baiter is not going to help anyone. Still, we're sure Baltimore's Mayor will give Sharpton the "space to destroy" whatever calm has settled over her city.
