Instead of summoning MP Helena Guergis to his office and confronting her with his suspicions, Stephen Harper cavalierly dismissed her from his cabinet and called on the RCMP to investigate her supposed crimes.

Since the Mounties found no evidence of wrong doing on Guergis' part, Harper owes her an apology and reinstatement, If he refuses to do this, and it's safe to bet that he will, Guergis should explain the whole sorry incident to her constituents, and run in the next federal election as a candidate for another party.
