Militant Islam, Orthodox jewish community

A recent FoxNews.com | AP article published on December 27, 2011, titled, "Girl Draws Thousands of Online Supporters After Being Harassed by Jewish Extremists in Israel" caught my attention, mainly due to its striking similarity to what has been happening right here in the United States.
The similarity exists in type of circumstance and happening more so than the actual act perpetrated which was, as the story headline pronounces, a group of Jewish "Extremists" harassing a young Jewish girl right there in Israel, and as the story line explains, "Her plight has drawn new attention to the simmering issue of religious coercion in Israel, and the increasing brazenness of extremists in the insular ultra-Orthodox Jewish community." It struck me as being similar to what we here in America are experiencing on our own home grounds in the form of religious coercion from overly zealous, to the point of obsessive extremism, Islamic bullying and overt threatening to get their dogma to be the only acceptable faith wherever they choose to force their will.

In the case of Israel the religion is the same, Orthodox Jewry, just different levels of participation. The young girl was from a community which practiced the more moderate form and her assailants were of the stricter ultra-Orthodox community who spat on her and even called her a # for dressing "immodestly." If you are looking for a severe example of bigotry, look no further. These intolerants are almost unbelievable to bring such a severe and perverted attack on, oh, did I tell you, the young girl was only EIGHT years old! Her name is Naama Margolese. She attends a new girl's school and lives in the city of Beit Shemesh, to the west of Jerusalem, on the border between an ultra-Orthodox neighborhood and a community of modern Orthodox Jewish residents, many of them American immigrants per the AP article on FoxNews.com. According to an AP interview little Naama stated, "When I walked to school in the morning I used to get a tummy ache because I was so scared ... that they were going to stand and start yelling and spitting," the pale, blue-eyed girl said softly. "They were scary. They don't want us to go to the school." That sounds pretty much like what we would expect from militant and cowardly Muslims who move into our communities and begin taking over and dictating their Shariah laws and culture to the Americans around them. But at least, in the case in Israel, the bigots who are trying to force compliance with their views were there first. In America the Islams move in and want the residents who have been there for years to change; and not a subtle change such as the Israelis, from moderate to ultra, an absolutely and totally different religious concept AND LIFESTYLE. It would be a more likely analogy if the new to the community little girl and her family were, for instance, Christian and were trying to force the older, ultra-Orthodox Jews to convert to her faith which is what would prevail here in America where the newcomers were Muslims. AP continued that Naama's case has been especially shocking because of her young age and because she attends a religious school and dresses with long sleeves and a skirt. Extremists, however, consider even that outfit, standard in mainstream Jewish religious schools, to be immodest. This week Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke out against the violence. "The Israel police are taking, and will take, action to arrest and stop those who spit, harass or raise a hand. This has no place in a free and democratic state," he told his Cabinet. It seems bigotry takes all sorts of forms and fashions; and of course, as we've seen here in America, it is always the "other" guys (or gals) that are guilty of this offense; and almost identical to racism. It's always the "other" guy. But actions always betray the guilty parties. The next two paragraphs are taken from the AP-FoxNews.com article and show the parallels with our Islamic situation here in America. Substitute the word 'Muslims' for Orthodox Jews and 'American' for Israeli and you will see the correlation of potential calamity. "The ultra-Orthodox Jews make up 10 percent of Israel's population and are its fastest growing sector because of a high birth rate. In the past, they have generally confined their strict lifestyle to their own neighborhoods. But they have become increasingly aggressive in trying to impose their ways on others, as their population has grown and spread to new areas. "It is clear that Israeli society is faced with a challenge that I am not sure it can handle," said Menachem Friedman, a professor emeritus of Bar Ilan University and expert on the ultra-Orthodox, "a challenge that is no less and no more than an existential challenge." If America continues to elect liberal Democrats to high offices, POTUS in particular, the will to turn back the over-reaching of the Muslim community will cease to exist. The current Administration has demonstrated that it is highly sympathetic to Islam needs and goals and will do little or nothing to stop their insidious power grabs of our nation for their own.
