Majestic Maggie Martino, Queen of Monakatowa, Part 2 of 2

FROM A TO Z, TO YOU FROM ME: Maggie was no murderer -- she was a majestic queen!

When confronted with this information, Maggie replied that she had always treated Michelle respectfully and had never been unkind to her. “She was a good player, but unfortunately, she was jealous of me because I played as best I could while on the court, and for this reason, I was chosen by the coach for a key position that Michelle wanted. Sadly, I was aware that she disliked me because she often made cruel remarks, either to me or about me, to other players, but I just ignored the unkind words and continued focusing on playing at my best.”

Then, the investigator stunned Maggie by saying, “You are a suspect in this murder.” Mrs. McGillicuddy tried to calm Maggie, assuring her that this was just the routine way law enforcement solved crimes, but Maggie became so depressed that she decided to return to her favorite place, the bridge. Staring at the swiftly flowing water, she could not escape the agonizing torment inside her and made the sudden decision to fling herself off the bridge and drown. No one was around, so she climbed on top of the rail, looked once more at the beautiful city she loved, and jumped.

To her surprise, she did not fall into the water but into something that was soft and warm. It was a boat full of wheat headed to a remote island nation far away in the Southern Hemisphere. Maggie fell sound asleep in the warm grain and did not awaken until the ship was far out to sea. Her first thought was to get something to eat, after which she would ask to be sent back to Minneapolis. To her surprise, Captain Manuel Moriarty felt sorry for her and asked Maggie to join him at his private table for a nice meal.

Fortunately, he spoke English and explained to Maggie that because they were far out to sea, she must remain on board until it reached the Kingdom of Monakatowa, its destination. To her delight, it was a beautiful country filled with friendly people. In time, she met a handsome young prince who fell deeply in love with this beautiful American girl.

Holding her hand, he said, “I am Miguel Martino, the country’s next king, and I want you to be my queen.” They got married and lived happily, except for one problem. Maggie could not rest until her innocence was proven.

"Very well,” the prince said. “Tomorrow, we will fly in my private jet to Minneapolis. Do not worry, my love; we will get this matter straightened out promptly.” When they arrived, Maggie immediately called her mother and got the most wonderful news of all. The real murderer had been found! Maggie was thrilled, and her prince was so relieved that he invited the whole McGillicuddy family to move to his kingdom, where they would enjoy a carefree life. Soon, the wrongly accused young woman became queen, loved by all because of what she was: Majestic Maggie Martino, Queen of Monakatowa.
