Recent case in point: The failure of FEMA – Federal Emergency Management Agency – to aggressively render assistance to people in the states that have experienced the brunt of Hurricane Helene.

Meanwhile, YouTube is chronicling the rescue efforts of on-the-ground ad hoc local organizations, as well as out-of-area citizen volunteer efforts, to rescue stranded victims and bring relief, medicine and food to the victims – many who were, even before the hurricane, living on the edge of poverty.
American citizens are acting, in mass, to help victims.
For one example, the Cajun Navy, that marshalled efforts to rescue flood victims of both Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Ian, is now assisting victims of Helene with an effort that includes an “air force” contingent. (Source)
Meanwhile, FEMA has burned through its budget by its funding of illegal immigrants who have flowed into the U.S. – in the millions - during the Biden-Harris administration. Fresh voters for the DNC.
Consequently: “FEMA is coming under scrutiny following reports that it dispersed $640 million for migrant services in fiscal year 2024 through the ‘Shelter and Services Program’ that it administers with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Congress earlier this year directed the CBP to transfer $650 million to FEMA ‘to support sheltering and related activities provided by non-Federal entities, in support of relieving overcrowding in short-term holding facilities’ of CBP. ” (Source)
