New Initiative? Hud Will Prioritize Americans Over Illegals

Hey America, we just got some Great News. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has had a moment of clarity and has decided to prioritize hard-working, Legal American Citizens over those who have slithered their way into Our country illegally.

What a concept.

The National Review reported:

“The Department of Housing and Urban Development announced on Wednesday that non-permanent residents will no longer be eligible for Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgages as part of a broader effort by the administration to ensure that American citizens are prioritized under taxpayer-funded housing programs following the massive flow of illegal immigration under former President Joe Biden.”

“FHA loans offer government-insured mortgages to ensure that lower-income individuals have access to homeownership. While illegal immigrants are technically ineligible to obtain FHA-backed home loans under U.S. law, HUD’s announcement will strengthen enforcement mechanisms to ensure that illegal immigrants are not abusing the program in the future. It is unclear how many illegal immigrants have obtained FHA-backed loans.”

According to Fox News:

"The order is part of a new initiative by HUD and the Department of Homeland Security aimed at ending the “wasteful misappropriation” of taxpayer-funded public housing resources allocated to illegal immigrants."

Okay, let's stop and analyze this as just one of many examples of BLATANT liberal Democrat hypocrisy.

It is ILLEGAL for migrants who have entered this country illegally to receive FHA-backed home loans. Yet under the Biden administration’s deceitful watch, the American taxpayers were forced to carry another unnecessary burden.

The same people who knowingly punished Americans using illegal immigrants are now fighting to prevent President Trump from deporting the criminal element that Biden so casually and deliberately allowed to breach the sanctity of our country. EVERY American should be outraged by the selling out that the Democrats have orchestrated to theoretically grow their voting base, while at the same time fattening their wallets.

HUD Secretary Scott Turner confirmed on social media that his department is prioritizing Americans over individuals living in the country illegally.

“Today, HUD terminated Biden’s taxpayer-backed FHA mortgages for illegal aliens. American taxpayers will no longer subsidize open borders by offering home loans to those who enter our nation illegally.”

Adding that the mortgages should benefit people who “play by the rules” and not illegal migrants.

HUD’s updated residency requirements for FHA-backed loans, effective May 25, will apply to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients, as well as individuals who are awaiting asylum or refugee status. According to HUD, this inclusion is important because there is no guarantee that these individuals will have their residency status renewed under the current administration.

The new policy completely removes the 'non-permanent resident' category from the FHA's Single-Family Title I and Title II programs. Additionally, it reverses a Biden-era policy that permitted FHA loans for DACA recipients who have a valid Social Security Number and work eligibility status.

Turner's announcement aligns with President Donald Trump's executive orders related to immigration. It will be incorporated into a future version of HUD's Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1. Earlier this week, HUD and the Department of Homeland Security issued a Memorandum of Understanding to announce their collaboration in working to eliminate taxpayer-funded public housing for illegal immigrants.

Turner clarified the new position in a statement to National Review:

“There will be no more illegal aliens getting HUD-backed home loans. The Biden administration exploited taxpayer resources and manipulated FHA policy to allow illegal aliens to ride the coattails of the American taxpayer when financing a home. For those who play by the rules and work hard to purchase a home, it is unconscionable. HUD will continue to implement President Trump’s executive order ending taxpayer subsidization of open borders and protecting the American Dream of homeownership.”

The Biden administration sacrificed the citizens of this country in more ways than we can imagine, even now. President Trump has the unpopular job of upsetting the status quo, exposing these wrongs, and then correcting them. This exposure will anger a certain segment of the population, and when they start to protest, take note of who they are and ask yourself why. Why would correcting an injustice

upset them?
