NYT: Obama admin. 'outraged' over Netanyahu visit - doesn't have the guts to say so publicly

A week ago I wrote about "unnamed" Obama administration officials who were threatening Israel over Prime Minister Netanyahu's plan to speak before Congress. Specifically, the anonymous person or persons said there would be "a price" to pay if Netanyahu went through with the address.

Now, we have another report of the President's oh-so-righteous indignation. This time it comes to us from everyone's favorite liberal rag of record, The New York Times.
The Obama administration, after days of mounting tension, signaled on Wednesday how angry it is with Israel that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accepted Republican leaders’ invitation to address Congress on Iran without consulting the White House. The outrage the episode has incited within President Obama’s inner circle became clear in unusually sharp criticism by a senior administration official who said that the Israeli ambassador, Ron Dermer, who helped orchestrate the invitation, had repeatedly placed Mr. Netanyahu’s political fortunes above the relationship between Israel and the United States. The official who made the comments to The New York Times would not be named, and the White House declined to comment. I don't really have much to add to this that hasn't been said before. It's just the kind of thing we've come to expect from the boy-king who currently resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. So, all I'll say is this:
  • "The official who made the comments" would not be named.
  • Last week's threats about "a price" were made by an "unnamed senior US official."
  • Before that, an anonymous White House official called Netanyahu a "coward" a "chickenshit," and "scared."
Barack Obama should ask himself one question. Who's the "cowardly chicken****?" The guy who's standing up to the Muslim world and speaking before Congress, or the guy who has his anonymous underlings slander and threaten an ally because he's too "scared" to do it himself?
