ObamaCare is a Jumbled Jungle

Ever looked at a pot of stew cooking on the stove? What an eclectic assortment of ingredients ranging from meats to veggies and spices. Beef, turkey, and pork are common as are onions, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, corn, green beans, often white beans and kidney beans, celery, rutabaga, zucchini, squash and well, anything that’s handy in the fridge or cupboard might be among the fixin’s to make it a jumbled and mysterious mess.

In the current world of Obama, his plan for the government control of not only our health, but our welfare, future and subsistence strongly resembles a huge pot of such a jumble of stew. Only, this pot of stew is a potential disaster for America, young, middle aged and elderly. Now, I don’t want anyone to think that I am some kind of expert at deciphering the messes that our Congress seems to always make our legislative documents when they are finished fudging, fixing, and for gosh sakes, fooling around with them. And this one is so big that admittedly, a very large number of those legislators themselves haven’t even read or, in fact, understand it. But, I try to do research on what others who have studied the bills have come up with as their interpretations. And, it seems as though there are many more non-Senators and Congresspersons that have thoroughly gone over this particular bill than legislators. One theme seems common to most all who have studied this bill and that is that it is a BAD, BAD, batch of stew and not fit for human consumption or for application to or on humans, especially the American species. There are so many bad ingredients in it that it is difficult to determine where to start. Naturally, all of the unfavorable stuff could never be covered in one small column, so I will try to limit my views to just the most egregious parts.

The best place to start would be at the beginning, or the reasons why this bill has become such a lightning rod for disaster. It all started when THE ONE, otherwise known as the Messiah and OH WISE ONE, in his great estimation concluded that America’s health care was in shambles and needed his masterful touch for correction. His early pronouncements made our medical care from doctors and hospitals second only in detriment to patient health to a mass execution of state treasonists. Middle Eastern terrorists weren't considered as damaging as our medical industry personnel and the insurance companies that managed our health plans. This came as somewhat of a shocking surprise to me and from what the polls tell me, nearly 70 percent of the rest of Americans. There was some grumbling from those who had no health plans, but they could hardly be the judges of the quality of such plans; and there were others who, being young and adventuresome, chose not to, in their minds, ‘waste’ good money on health plans that they would rarely, if ever, use them. Still, more of the very wealthy just didn’t bother to get involved with the complicated paperwork that such plans were composed of as they usually had their own doctors and nurses imbedded in their daily lives. Then THE ONE also said that there were some people here in this country from other lands that also had no health care plans nor money with which to acquire them; these were, in his terms, ‘our migrant workers, so necessary to performing jobs not to U.S. citizens’ desires. He was wrong of course as those people sent millions of dollars back home instead of using some for health insurance. He then estimated that all of those groups may have totaled as many as FORTY SEVEN MILLION people who needed health care NOW, not tomorrow or next week, but NOW! Which, to me, was like saying that those of whom he spoke should get it quickly before the greedy citizens who had worked hard to be able to afford a decent health care plan used it all up leaving none for them. In fact, many estimates of FIFTY MILLION people needed to be added to a health care plan that would immediately take care of them even if they couldn’t afford it; very simply, the rest of us would dig down in our pockets and come up with the money or perhaps the benevolent government could increase taxes on those others to cover the costs of all of those people without health care. Why not? It wasn’t his money he was spending. In the meantime, our dutiful and obeisant legislators in our oh, so liberal Congress, were going about their business concocting various and sundry different new twists and machinations to come up with an entirely new health plan just as Doctor Obama had ordered. And they did this being under the gun of the man who said it had to be passed last week, not ‘anytime soon’ or ‘down the road’ - - NOW! It had to be done quickly before those smart-aleck politicians from the ‘other’ party had a chance to read the plan and be arrogant enough to actually speak out against it. And that included the public voters as well. Certain things in the bill might not sit too well with the public either, as the National Right To Work Committee pointed out online on Aug. 19, 2009 that those public voters might find out that there were plans for the “forced unionization of large numbers of doctors, nurses and other health care workers; billions of new forced-dues dollars going into Big Labor’s coffers; and union bosses in nearly complete care of your health.” Big Union Labor is bound and determined that they are going to get, and Obama has already promised they will, multi, multi dollars with the letters “illions” tacked on to the end in repayment for the huge bucks they put out to get liberal Democrats and Obama elected in 2008. It is not only scary but outright frightening that these unions want those billions of dollars that will come in the form of union dues right into their waiting pockets. By unionizing the entire medical profession and commanding their obedience by means of other legislation such as the ridiculously named Freedom of Choice Act which is in fact, the LOSS of freedom of choice, as it removes the secret ballot provision for deciding whether or not to join a union and forces workers to check off a yes or no box as to their intentions, all while under the eyes of union thugs standing at their shoulders in an open and accessible area. There are more unpleasant things in this bill, such a taking a half trillion dollars away from Medicare to help pay for the 50 million new people being added; and that’s a big hit against seniors. I’ll try to get back with more information before they scramble to get this passed and signed by Obama. And maybe someone can tell me how the country with the best medical services in the world could suddenly need to have that health care reformed. Obama’s Kool-Aid has gone to their heads. Only you, Mr. and Ms. America, can stop this travesty of justice and loss of Constitutional freedoms in our country by demanding that your elected Senators and Congresspersons MUST NOT vote FOR the Obama health plan formally known as H.R. 3200.
