On Assassination and the Black Community

My X post:

'Assassination robbed the Black Community of Beloved Ancestors Medgar Evers, James Chaney, Steve Biko, Malcolm X, MLK, MLK's mother, to name a few.

We should be the LAST group to support this as viable political strategy, a fact I've reminded some after certain comments following the assassination attempt on former president Trump.'

Commentary:
Our struggle must be a rejection of klan tactics like murdering people because of their views.

Our history is replete with too many instances of brutality and murder to endorse these measures-even against those disliked by many community members.

From our non violent civil rights movement to our self defense based Black power movement, neither advocated eradication that befell figures known or unknown within their ranks

Our community was once called the moral compass of this country.

Current events indicate such ethical clarity is sorely needed.

Sisters and Brothers, we need to show this country a better way to effect change.

As we always have historically.
