One dead, 28 injured in shooting at Chicago-area Juneteenth event

One person was killed at at least 28 were injured in a shooting at a Juneteenth celebration in Willowbrook, Illinois, near Chicago. Police told reporters that at least 10 of the injured were taken to local hospitals, two of whom are in critical condition, while others suffered graze wounds.

The shooting took place in a parking lot outside a shopping center in what officers are calling "a illicit street takeover" in which 200-300 people were gathered. ---More...
