'Porch Pirates' Are A Dire Warning That Eyes Are Watching

My 'Borrow A Brother' volunteer safety escorts have focused lately upon violators commonly called, 'porch pirates.'

They've stolen $8.2 billion dollars in online orders this year, according to Security.org That's right, eight point two billion, with a 'b!'

They're also a dire warning that eyes are watching. Moreover, today's package theft can easily become a home invasion or sexual assault once boundaries are crossed.

Violating people and property is out of control and with it, I warn, greater odds of residents being attacked by individuals with no respect for property lines or residents safety.

We must demand harsh penalties for package thieves from lawyers. Crime costing citizens nearly nine billion dollars in lost goods is hardly petty.

Let's mobilize to actively protect each other's property, including packages, whenever possible.
