Thunder cracks the humid night
Frightening, Lightning sears the
sky
The pregnant clouds burst forth in birth Spilling torrents from on high Soaking the parched and arid land Flushing down the dusty lanes Drenching the wilted leafy- bowers Cool, cascading summer rains. William Bedford
