The Beltway Bubble

Interstate 495 is a highway that encircles the Washington D.C. metropolitan area called the Capitol Beltway. To the rest of the country, it is the Washington Beltway because it centers on our national seat of government and includes the residences of the majority of the people that work for the federal government and those trying to influence the federal bureaucracy. The Beltway also encompasses the three richest counties in America. In the last 100 hundred years the area encompassed by the Washington Beltway has morphed into a virtual bubble, which no longer represents the morals and values of the rest of the United States of America.

I personally have seen that if you work for or with crooks for very long, inevitably you will become a crook. The transition is easy even for the most honest person.

The Beltway Bubble is a zone that has created its own fantasyland where the occupants are no longer able to relate to what goes on outside that bubble. It is a world consisting of the professional career politician ruling class and their minions. Their only concern is what happens inside the bubble. They are certain that only the Beltway dwellers are smart enough to run the country and the lives of everyone in it. These people expect the rest of the country to buy into their fantasies and never challenge what they want done.

The Beltway Bubble is a zone where laws are made for all the little people outside the bubble. Sadly, the Constitution, moral values, and all other sideboards of civilization are flexible to fluid for the Beltway Bubble population and their minions.

The Beltway Bubble is a zone where truth simply cannot find a home. Lying is as natural as breathing, and corruption is a way of life. The prime directive is “The Agenda” and nothing else matters, and everyone in the Beltway Bubble has an agenda. Unfortunately, rarely is that agenda good for the America outside the bubble. The Beltway Bubble is a zone where the various criminal enterprises refuse to acknowledge simple math. They perpetuate a system that spends more money than they can confiscate from We the People and somehow, in their twisted minds, think there will be no consequences for a larger and larger national debt.

The Beltway Bubble is a zone where the government confiscates money from We the People, then redistributes that money to special interest groups through government contracts, social programs (charity), and other considerations. Ultimately some of the money so confiscated ends up coming back to the Beltway criminal enterprises from the lobbyists of the special interest groups they support. That’s how poor career politicians get to be rich politicians.

The Beltway Bubble is not America

The Beltway Bubble is a zone where bad ideas end up as Cabinet level agencies and never die no matter how expensive they get, how unsuccessful they are, and whether or not their purpose is an enumerated power of the federal government. Executive Branch departments have been established to dispense charity and, in addition, nearly every other department has a charity function of some sort.

The Beltway Bubble is not America. We the People allowed it to develop and are now recognizing that it has metastasized into an out of control evil empire trying to control every aspect of our lives. And only We the People can change it at the ballot box.
