The Fundamental Problems of America

As I observe the world order degenerating, particularly in North America, it seems to me that we are distracted from the fundamental problems and the necessary solutions. Every day the world and the North American elitist ruling class throw out as many distractions as they can to get us to focus on issues of the moment and keep us from focusing on the fundamental problems. The fundamental problems that were identified by our American Founding Fathers more than 200 hundred years ago. The fundamental problems they warned us to watch for and prevent. Which we didn’t watch for and failed to prevent! The Founding Fathers, in their wisdom, foresaw exactly what is happening in America, Canada, and the free world today.

Fundamental Problem #1: Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." ~ John Adams

The Founding Fathers relied on the Christian Bible and the guidance of the Ten Commandments to structure the United States Constitution. For those of us of the Baby Boomer generation have watched the moral and religious decay of America, and that reality has resulted in nothing that has bettered America and the world. In the first half of the 20th century, most people in North America attended church regularly and the moral societal sideboards were generally adhered to resulting in a civilized society. It isn’t rocket science to recognize that as church attendance declined there was a degeneration of moral behavior in America. In 2022, a mere 30% or so of Americans regularly attend church. That certainly suggests a direct relationship between these two realities.

Fundamental Problem #2: Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have

"I think myself that we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious. Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have ... The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases. The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first." ~ Thomas Jefferson

If 2020 and 2021, have taught us nothing else, we recognize how prophetic the words of Jefferson were. The governments of North America tied us down with fear while they picket our pockets and nearly destroyed the free enterprise system and the free market. How many liberties did we so willingly give up, and for what exactly? I’ll ask a similar question to what Ronald Reagan asked in 1980: Are you better off today than you were on January 19, 2021? When was the last time, if ever, you saw so many empty store shelves? Before this year, have you ever seen America go from an oil exporter to an oil importer in less than a year and have gas prices explode due to the government changing energy policies? This ain’t rocket science either; your governments have done this to you in a little over a year. Does that make you feel warm and fuzzy all over?

Fundamental Problem #3: Political parties are likely to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people

"However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion." ~ George Washington

As elected offices in government became a career path, the inevitable result was total corruption of our political system. If we have not realized that in the last few years, then we are part of the problem and unless we change that soon at the ballot box, it will never be solved until the next armed revolution. If we don’t acknowledge that our favorite elected official has likely fallen into the corruption trap like many other politicians, we are simply ignoring reality. Whether they are Republican, Democrat, Socialist, or whatever, if they are seeking to remain in elected office, they are likely corrupt. I would never say all politicians are corrupt, but those folks don’t get rich by keeping their nose to the grind stone and serving the people that elected them. And the Founding Fathers knew it.

Fundamental Problem #4: Whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite

You have the power if you have the guts to reach out and grasp it. An honest ballot box! You have the power, if you step up to replace someone who wants to have an elected office career. You have the power, if you will help someone else replace a career office holder. You have the power, if you do nothing but vote in each and every election. A single vote can make a difference.
