In less than two years as President, under Obama’s watch there has been an outpouring of hatred towards the Jewish people the likes of which I never thought I would live to see.

From Helen Thomas telling the Jews to “get the hell out of Palestine” to heavily armed terrorist flotillas destined for the Gaza Strip described as “peaceful” by the western press, a sea change in world public opinion against the Jewish people has been accomplished during Obama’s short time in office. They are once again throwing stones at little old ladies leaving synagogue in Sweden, while thousands of Jewish families flee Muslim persecution in France.

Direct result of Obama’s refusal to speak out against the virulent anti-Semitism

This is not a coincidence. It is a direct result of Obama’s refusal to speak out against the virulent anti-Semitism being pushed by left-wing politicians and Islamists around the globe, a failure on Obama’s part that many take as his tacit approval of such actions. He stands up for Islam’s right to build a Sharia law victory mosque two blocks from Ground Zero, but refuses to acknowledge that Jews have the right to build homes for themselves outside Jerusalem. While over a million Arabs live as citizens within Israel’s borders, Obama remains silent over the planned Jewish cleansing of the future Palestinian state. Obama has gone so far as to direct the IRS to closely monitor and harass American Jewish charities that support Israel in a way that “contradict the administration's public policies”. After insulting the Israeli Prime minister during his first trip to Washington and backing a UN investigation into the Turkish flotilla that has already become a witch hunt for Israeli heads, Obama now intends to take a more active role in the Middle East peace process. Forgive me for being skeptical, but considering Obama’s obvious hostility towards Israel, I don’t see this ending well for them. In his mind he perceives the Jewish state as an apartheid nation whose very existence is based on the exploitation of Arabs, which is particularly ironic considering the vast majority of Syrians, Egyptians and Iranians would move there in a second to escape the very real tyranny under which they live.

There is no “humanitarian crisis” in the Gaza Strip

There is no “humanitarian crisis” in the Gaza Strip, they just opened a luxury mall there a few weeks ago, and the Palestinian controlled West Bank is one of the fastest growing economies in the world, mostly because of the security measures Israel put in place to curb terrorism. This has given the Palestinians a chance to take a break from the never ending war perpetrated by their corrupt leaders and start building a better future for themselves and their children. I can only hope the Palestinians will get the message that Israel is not their enemy, the extremists are and if only they would lay down their weapons, the Jewish people will help them build a paradise on this earth. However, Obama’s deep seeded animosity towards Israel not only puts its very existence at risk, it poses a direct threat to Jews everywhere because, like it or not, he is the leader of the free world and millions do look to him for direction, good or bad.
