If magic is a “ concept used to describe a mode of rationality or way of thinking that looks to invisible forces to influence events ”, then one would be hard-pressed to argue that Canada has not become a magical kingdom. Contrast present-day, “elbows up” Canada with the pragmatic and confident nation that preceded it and one would think they were comparing apples with oranges. After all, some 150 years from its inception in 1867, Canada had managed to rise from its rural and colonial beginnings to weather world wars and ideological challenges to become a resource-rich, manufacturing powerhouse. The demarcation point between the G7 nation that punched well above its weight and the one that is now managing its decline as the price for being a good global citizen can be seen to be the magical incantation that framed Canada as “ the first post-national state ” – a state void of any core identity or cultural mainstream. Not to be outdone, other incantations would follow including “diversity is our strength”, “build back better” and “ duty to consult ”

As the month of May draws to a close so does our C3RF funding drive. The use of incantations to will a new reality into existence may be a recent phenomenon in Canada but the practice has an age-old pedigree. The word “abracadabra”, for example, is theorized to have been used by Roman sages as early as the 2nd ^Century AD and was thought to be of Hebrew or Aramaic origin. It is further posited that the word is patterned after the “ Aramaic 'avra kadavra', meaning 'it will be created in my words'” and therefore a knock-off of the concept of a living God speaking a universe into existence . This notion can be seen as a blasphemous one, as it assigns divine powers to mere mortals who are endeavouring to short circuit a real-world creative process constrained by human frailty. This process entails the formation of a well-reasoned, conscious thought, refining it through speech and consultation and then acting to bring an end product into existence. In the Zoroastrian experience, as explained by Freddie Mercury of the super band Queen, this would equate to “ think good thoughts, speak good words, and do good deeds ”.

Replacing the willing of new realities through abracadabra utterings with a creative process ordered by good thoughts, words and deeds deserves reflection on the nature of “good”. It has long been held in classical philosophy that good, along with truth and beauty, is one of those transcendental properties that is known to exist “ beyond the time-space-matter world ” as a “universal reality”. It is goodness that directs the will into a reasoned or truthful action that has the power to captivate the heart with a beautiful outcome. It is here that we see the futility of speaking “diversity is our strength” into a false reality when the truth that underscores its primary premise is unsubstantiated. After all, wouldn't it be more accurate to say that diverse peoples united under a common set of founding principles are our strength? Likewise, doesn't “build back better” connote the need to destroy beforehand and doesn't a “duty to consult” open the way for minority rule as it requires the abandonment of democratic principles?

Incantations

And when they say to you, “Inquire of the mediums and the necromancers who chirp and mutter,” should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead-on behalf of the living? Isaiah 8:19

The fact that incantations, in and of themselves, are powerless to effect real world conditions are in full view in today's post-national Canada. The ad nauseum repetition of “diversity is our strength”, for example, has not changed the fact that some cultures mix about as well as oil and water. The evidence is clear and demonstrated by virtue of the reckless and mass immigration programs that have worked to divide the nation along religious, sexual and racial lines. Accordingly, Canadian communities have been witnessing:

• mass prayer and protest sessions that disturb the peace and endanger everyday citizens going about their business;
• the flying of flags at national institutions that declare support for non-traditional sexual preferences and take focus off of the symbols that unite all Canadians under a common set of organizing principles; and
• the accommodation of race-based protests even as whole communities and the nation-writ-large are locked down under pandemic conditions.

It would seem that “diversity”, absent the recognition of the truths involved, can easily operate at odds with the promotion of social cohesion.

In a similar fashion we see the “build back better” incantation wreaking havoc over the economies of the West. Based as it is on the assumption that “climate change” is on track to frying the planet, we are told that a trace atmospheric element, in the form of carbon dioxide (CO2), acts as a greenhouse gas to trap the sun's energy and increase worldwide temperatures dangerously. Missing in the incantation, however, is any attempt at corralling the truth by asking questions like:

• how could a trace gas that makes up 0.04% of the atmosphere control the earth's thermostat when a much more plentiful greenhouse gas in the form of water vapor (100 times more than CO2) is benign? and
• If manmade CO2 is only 3% of the total of the 0.04% in the atmosphere and Canada only produces 1.6% of this negligible amount, how can turning the national economy upside down to “de-carbonize” be justified?

There is no getting around the fact that these questions are valid as even the UN's own Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) states the claims of imminent danger were overblown and beyond the pale . Remember when, in 2018, the same UN and its experts told us we only had 12 years to extinction? With four years left to go until a climate change apocalypse, how is that prediction looking now ?

Yet another incantation originating at the United Nations, in the form of the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), is plaguing the civil liberties of the non-indigenous in Canada. UNDRIP has brought with it the ethereal concept of the “duty to consult” as one of many means of reconciling past hardships visited upon aboriginal communities by their colonial masters. Unfortunately, but once again, we see a failure to define the terms used by this particular incantation thus allowing the word “consult” to morph into a meaning that infers a veto power on behalf of the indigenous of Canada. Such a transference of meaning has even been confirmed by the prime minister who tied the progression of pipelines from Alberta to Pacific tide water to consultations that included indigenous approval. So he stated on the heels of discussions with the Coastal First Nations – an NGO that does not represent any indigenous or first nation band and is funded by offshore entities .

The magical kingdom

So take your stand with your spells and your many sorceries, with which you have worn yourself from your youth. Perhaps you will succeed; perhaps you will inspire terror!” Isaiah 47:12

Now that the failure of incantations to make a new Canadian reality is fully on display, it has become necessary to employ other magical techniques to keep post-national Canada from fully unraveling. Accordingly, a whole host of flim-flaming tricks, including misdirection, sleight of hand and cognitive tricks , can be seen to be employed to force a new but false reality. For its part misdirection, otherwise known as “look, squirrel”, has been an everyday occurrence in Canada since the parliamentary approval of Motion M-103 and its pigeon-holing of Canada as a systemically racist and “Islamophobic” entity. The charges, especially that of Islamophbia, can be seen to be rolled out anytime the followers of certain religions fail to immediately get their way or are criticized for bad behavior. After all, the “far right” is a much greater problem that needs to be reined in even as Islamophobic speech needs to be censored.

The same rush to misdirect can be seen to be in play with the need to build net-zero societies that are informed by the “wisdom of the elders” even as first nations are anointed as the stewards of a sustainable land . This fanciful narrative hides the fact that attempts to build such societies, in places like Spain, Portugal and France , have met with abject and economy-crushing failure. Such failures, however, then become the subjects of a sleight of hand that sees them disappear down deep memory holes where establishment media entities fear to tread. Such selective reportage is applied liberally across any number of domains as is evidenced by the entire history of indigenous relations in Canada being vaporized and replaced by a “genocide” narrative. And then there are the cognitive tricks that are brought to bear on an unsuspecting Canadian citizenry to make them see what they know rather than know what they are actually seeing.

Among the cognitive tricks used to confound the public's perceptions of the real world is the shanghaiing of the strong bonds of trust between Canadian leaders and their constituents to gaslight the public-writ-large. These bonds, nurtured over the centuries by a Judeo-Christian ethic, stand to be broken irrevocably as false claims are pushed into the cultural mainstream - often with the help of the mainstream media. One such claim, made by no less than two Canadian prime ministers, is that the tenets of sharia law are compatible with the Western way of life and that Muslim values ​​are Canadian values . Forget about 1400 years of seeing sharia law in action , Canadian minds are turned to mush as such pronouncements are made and allowed to take hold by an ideologically motivated leadership cadre and a compliant, paid-off media . Add to this the blatant efforts to “nudge” the public into cognitive dissonance with the creation of whole government departments dedicated to doing so through behavioral science techniques and the fact that Canada truly has become a magical kingdom is irrefutable.
