There Has Only Been One True Forever War

When Republicans are in control of America, Democrats whine about forever wars. When Democrats are in control of America, Republicans whine about forever wars. Independents are always whining about forever wars. Forever is a long, long time. These political attacks on long, not forever, wars is nothing but more Kabuki theater for agenda-driven political purposes. In other words, politicians being nothing but politicians.

The one and only true forever war is the war between good and evil with ongoing battles between truth and lies. The war of which I speak was first documented in the Book of Genesis, and due to the many foibles of human nature has persisted ever since. As we observe life and the world in 2026, many of us have to wonder if evil has taken the upper hand. Throughout the Bible and throughout post biblical history, human beings have cycled through times when it seems that evil gains the upper hand for a period of time.

As I see the world today, evil has been in control of Russia for more than century. Evil has been in control of China and North Korea for three-quarters of a century. Evil has been in control of Iran for nearly a half a century. Much of Europe is or has fallen to evil in the last decade, while it appears that Australia and Canada are about to fall soon into the control of the evil forces of socialism.

In the last century the world called upon the United States of America to save them from the evils of tyranny and totalitarianism at least twice. America was able to respond during those trying days because America was not directly under attack by evil herself. In 2026, the situation is different, because like Europe, Australia, and Canada, the evil socialists are directly attacking America as well. Before America can save the world, America must first beat back the evil enemy within that is trying to inflict permanent damage to the traditional Judeo-Christian American way of life.

America has beaten back the enemy within two times in her short history. Starting in 1776, when the British Crown tried to treat the American colonists more severely than other Crown colonies. Then again in 1861, when the southern states tried to break up the nation through secession. America must save herself before she can save the rest of the world.

Because the Founding Fathers of America had the foresight to make sure American citizens always retained the right to bear arms, American citizens owning private arms in 2026 is the largest armed force (sometimes called a standing army) on the planet. American patriots will do everything possible to save the republic before resorting to the use of arms. However, armed resistance to evil is always on the table, and as Churchill noted, Americans will always do the right thing.

Presidents Washington and Kennedy recognized that truth is the enemy of evil, and that where there is truth, evil will perish. President Trump recognized that truth is the enemy of evil and revelations about fraud, waste, and abuse of taxpayers’ dollars has exposed the truth about the evil nature of the corruption in the United States government. The upside is that evil exposed is evil that can be fought.

Based on history, evil will never be totally defeated; evil has always resided in the minds of imperfect men. However, the forever war against evil can be used to suppress evil for a time and that’s all we can hope for. With the help of God, evil is an enemy we must forever guard against.
