“And they lied about it, of course, and said all kinds of things were, like, insane and totally untrue. But that was the motivator right there. And when Trump came out in 2016 and said, ‘The Iraq war was a mistake,’ which was very obvious to those of us who were in Iraq while it was going on, it was like news to nobody. It was shocking in Washington.
