Republic or Empire?

Historians spend their lives looking backwards.  Futurists spend their lives looking forward.  My goal has been to blend the two disciplines into one seamless panorama. For if you don’t know the past you have no context for the present, and if you have no context for the present the future appears to be whatever those who shape the present portray it to be.

Sussing Sequestration originator will get you yelled at and threatened

From the Official White House Rules Not Being Followed Book:

When President Barack Obama yells “BOO!”, all should quiver in their well-worn winter boots.  When he insists “The Sky is Falling!” via media propaganda, all should run for cover.

Even with the Obama-designed sequestration media hype spread as thickly as mayo on a Governor Chris Christie sandwich, only one out of four Americans believe the overworked sequestration will directly affect them.

Is this why the world’s first Celebrity President and his bully boy minion Gene Sperling, who got to yell at celebrated journalist Bob Woodward for a half an hour before threatening him “you’ll regret this” are losing their cool these days?

The architects of our economic demise

Today, we are witnessing the final stages of the greatest financial fraud ever perpetrated on the American people. Behind the massive debt, threat of “sequestration,” and the threat of massive pending layoffs exists a story that must be told and understood by every American. It is a truth that too few understand and even fewer will talk about.

Now they want our jewellery, paintings and furniture

London, England-A new wealth tax is being proposed by the leftist wing (The Liberal Democrats) of our coalition government that will come with unprecedented powers to enter our homes and root through our personal possessions to value rings, necklaces, paintings and furniture, anything that might raise more taxes. If we refuse to be inspected or get our own valuations wrong, we would be facing fines, maybe even a jail sentence.

The UN’s Alliance Of Bigots

The United Nations “Alliance of Civilizations,” co-founded by Turkey and Spain, has an annual budget of approximately four million U.S. dollars.  It just completed its Fifth Global Forum this past week in Vienna. The ostensible theme of the lavish two-day gathering was “Responsible Leadership in Dialogue and Diversity.”

PAKISTAN: Judge Dismisses Blasphemy Charge

Source: World Watch Monitor

In a surprising ruling on January 28th, a judge serving the Punjab province court of law threw out charges of blasphemy against Christian convert, Barkat Masih, who was accused of insulting Islam. The ruling came two months after similar charges were dismissed against Rimsha Masih, the teenage girl whose case attracted worldwide criticism of Pakistan’s anti-blasphemy laws. Time to Drag Senators - And MPs - Into the 21st Century

Now that Senator Mike Duffy has agreed to pay back his $42,000 housing allowance, it’s time for Canadians to put some heat on all Senators and Members of Parliament to come clean about how they spend taxpayer dollars. And it’s time to ditch the housing allowance all together and relax current residency requirements for Senators.

And the Oscar Goes To…President and Mrs. Obama

President Barack Obama is accustomed to receiving awards he does not deserve. In fact, the President received the ultimate prize in November of 2008. He was elected President of the United States despite scant credentials for the world’s most important position. He benefited from very inadequate vetting by the liberal news media; former political watch dogs turned lap dogs in the age of Obama.

Don’t freak. It’s just the R-word

When you mention the R-word, some folks on our side (Republicans/conservatives) feel uncomfortable.  I guess that in their minds, it feeds into the left branding the Tea Party as ignorant racists clinging to their God and guns, as President Obama described us.  But I have long since stopped caring about what the characterless media and liberals think of me.

Did Bob Woodward invent the President’s supposed ‘threat’?

This morning at 8:00 AM, I ran this piece regarding Bob Woodward’s claim that the White House threatened him over his reporting on the sequester.  About half an hour later, The Politico ran what it claims are the emails in question and it seems Bob is, at best, hypersensitive. At worst, he’s manufactured the supposed “threat” for publicity.

Zero-sum or some zeroes in the Capitol

A Zero-sum game is a situation where one player gains when his opponent suffers equal losses. The net change in total wealth among participants is zero; the wealth is just shifted from one to another. (Wisegeek.com)

Fight the evil that is trying to gain control of our nation and world

In the recent column by Doug Hagmann, The architects of our economic demise, he retraces the steps that have been carefully set out to insure the demise of our country as we knew it. I’ve read the same historical documents that Mr. Hagmann uses in his excellent article. But something happens when you see others who have read the same information and see how they react to it.

CALGARY, AB: The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) released documents obtained through Freedom of Information (FOI) today showing that medium-to-high income earners are using taxpayer-subsidized social housing intended for the poor. Too Much Obama

It’s taken since 2008 and two elections, but as Obama moves into his second term he is beginning to lose traction with Americans, including those who have supported him and who give him approval ratings in the fifty percent bracket.
