In the recent column by Doug Hagmann, The architects of our economic demise, he retraces the steps that have been carefully set out to insure the demise of our country as we knew it. I’ve read the same historical documents that Mr. Hagmann uses in his excellent article. But something happens when you see others who have read the same information and see how they react to it.

My heart is broken at the condition of our nation; our world. But while I may not be satisfied with the conditions that exist, my spirit is strong, vibrant, unafraid and willing to undertake whatever I’m called upon to do or initiate action to fight the evil that is trying to gain control of our nation and world. That is no play on words! At this time we have got to put away the time that we spend on talking and wondering what to do and replace it with contacting our representatives in Washington to express, politely, but very firmly, our unwillingness to remain silent. Demand action on their part with no excuses accepted. Chances are that your calls will not get to the individuals that need to hear them; in total, by the volume of folks calling in to complain, they will get the drift that they might not get reelected if they don’t start producing meaningful work. Those people who have the responsibility to arrest the criminals in our system must know that the people are behind them. Their jobs are going to be difficult and require uncommon character and courage. Call your county sheriff and tell him that you will back him up to uphold the constitution. Do the same for your Washington representatives. We are running out of people that still have the sense and courage that they can make a difference in Washington. Those that still adhere to our constitution need to hear that the people back home stand with them! Call the offices! Commend the good, condemn the bad but don’t just sit there. Remember "courage is not about being afraid but doing what is right in spite of being afraid". Richard Frank Wagoner, OK
