Early this month, Catholics throughout the world were outraged upon learning that Pope Francis awarded abortion advocate Lilianne Ploumen with the Pontifical Order of St. Gregory, an honor traditionally conferred upon those who demonstrate outstanding service to the Holy See or to humanity. Listening to our leaders in government can be a frightful experience, especially when you consider that their actions can affect the lives of millions. Satisfaction with government is directly tied to the economy, sometimes irrespective of the lack of honesty and intellect of its leaders, hence the election of so many deadbeats with nothing more than audacity and good selling skills.
For the record, Trump says it's fake news. Whoever told the New York Times it happened is hiding behind anonymity, because of course they are.
I am ancient enough to remember when rock 'n' roll stood for FREEDOM. Nowadays all too many rock icons hobnob with the elites and stand for the establishment status quo--political correctness, and lockstep uniformity. They are nothing more than elitist snobs dressed in rock 'n' roll costumes. I don't know if they are corrupt, willfully blind, or simply stupid.
Oh, No, not Emmanuel Macron too! The French election was suppose to show the liberal world order was not collapsing. At least if you ignore the massacre of liberal Social Democrats in every single voting district across France. The media proclaimed that the populist wave that brought Brexit and Trump was over.
I'm not exactly sure what the media was expecting. They view everything this President does with a combination of hatred and horror, so they always assume the worst. I guess they thought Trump was going to take the podium at the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland, lift it over his head like the Incredible Hulk, and smash it over some unsuspecting European-socialist's toupee.
