McCain Gone but Russia-Trump Collusion Story Lives On

McCain Gone but Russia-Trump Collusion Story Lives On Senator John McCain is gone (God rest his soul) and a massive grieving over his passing is about to be exploited to the nth degree by election-bound Democrats. For fans of the macabre, in the true-life-stranger-than-fiction category, Senator McCain died of the same cause, the same day, nine years later than Senator Ted Kennedy.

The Iceland Greenhouse

The Iceland Greenhouse Fancy some tomato ice cream? Or how about a slice of green tomato and apple pie. Either could be washed down with a shot if tomato schnapps. If so, you'll have to travel to southern Iceland. There, an hour's drive east of the capital Reykjavik in Fridhemar Fridheimar, Reykholt, is a greenhouse business with a difference.

Trump is in no real legal jeopardy, but Democrats will impeach him anyway if they win the House

Trump is in no real legal jeopardy, but Democrats will impeach him anyway if they win the House There are two things you need to understand about the latest media obsession:
  1. There is no serious legal case against Donald Trump. It’s a complete fantasy that anything that’s happened could result in his indictment or criminal prosecution. We’ll explain that momentarily, but before we get into that you need to understand the second thing. The second thing is:
  2. Trump’s lack of legal culpability won’t mean a thing if Democrats win control of the House this fall. They will impeach him anyway, for the high crime of being Donald J. Trump.

David and Goliath in the Court of Public Opinion

David and Goliath in the Court of Public Opinion The Goliath narrative in 1 Samuel 17 opens with the Philistine army gathered for war against Israel.
"Saul and the Israelites are facing the Philistines in the Valley of Elah. Twice a day for 40 days, morning and evening, Goliath, the champion of the Philistines, comes out between the lines and challenges the Israelites to send out a champion of their own to decide the outcome in single combat, but Saul is afraid. David, bringing food for his elder brothers, hears that Goliath has defied the armies of God and of the reward from Saul to the one who defeats him, and accepts the challenge. Saul reluctantly agrees and offers his armor, which David declines, taking only his staff, sling and five stones from a brook."

Andrew Scheer deserves to be our next Prime Minister

Andrew Scheer delivered what was undoubtedly his most important Speech as leader of the Conservative Party of Canada to a crowd of 3000 very enthusiastic delegates in Halifax on Friday and they have every reason to be enthusiastic. He showed himself to be bright, articulate, genuine and humble, all excellent qualities for any aspiring leader. For fifty-five minutes he was able to keep the interest of the crowd with a well thought out speech covering key issues of concern to Canadians such as the infamous carbon tax, immigration, the endless degradation of our rich Canadian heritage and tax relief for the working Canadian. At the same time we got a little better insight into the man himself, his roots and his vision for the country. It was a brilliant, well focused address.

Trump’s tariffs are too great a gamble for U.S. economy

Trump’s tariffs are too great a gamble for U.S. economy WASHINGTON, D.C. — After a long, slow climb following the Great Recession, the U.S. economy is finally thriving again. Thanks largely to tax and regulatory reform, wages and take-home pay are higher, employment has risen and the consumers who drive the economy are confident. Things are so good that at the National Retail Federation, we have increased our economic forecast for 2018, predicting retail sales will grow at least 4.5 percent over 2017 rather than the range of 3.8 percent to 4.4 percent we predicted earlier this year.

Why Rod Blagojevich will be home for Christmas

Why Rod Blagojevich will be home for Christmas President Trump will commute former Illinois Governor Rod "Blago" Blagojevich's prison sentence in time for Blago to be home for Christmas, after 6-plus years in the Federal Correctional Institution at Englewood, Colorado. When it happens, the reaction from the two major newspapers in Chicago is predictable. The Chicago Tribune and the Sun Times, but particularly the "Trib," will be apoplectic. Hints to that response have surfaced.

The Impeachment Insanity

The Impeachment Insanity In our nation’s history, only two U.S. Presidents have been impeached by the House of Representatives: Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton. Both remained in office, surviving a trial in the U.S. Senate. Of course, President Richard Nixon resigned before he would have surely faced impeachment and removal from office.

Deranged Left’s Take-No-Prisoners Strategy for Midterms

Deranged Left’s Take-No-Prisoners Strategy for Midterms Americans and their freedom-loving friends worldwide won’t be sleeping well between now and November 6 Midterms. While far too many already asleep at the switch see these Midterms as just another election, millions of patriots tossing restlessly in their sleep, see these Midterms for what they really are: a chance for Democrats in exile to regain power by getting even with the 63 million-plus people who cast their votes for Donald Trump—and not Hillary Clinton.

Sessions say’s he took control of the DOJ. Really?

Sessions say's he took control of the DOJ. Really? There are a lot of people who defend Jeff Sessions and keep saying things like, 'just trust Sessions'. Well, I did trust Sessions, but he hasn't done anything since he took office that would make me want to continue trusting him. The President has even lost trust in Sessions. In an interview on Fox News Channel, President Trump said the attorney general “never took control of the Justice Department.” Shortly after the President’s remark aired, Sessions issued a statement that said:

Mourn Kofi Annan, But Don’t Forget His Failings

Mourn Kofi Annan, But Don’t Forget His Failings In United Nations circles, Kofi Annan’s death last Saturday is being mourned in terms more befitting a saint than a former secretary general. Ted Turner’s U.N. Foundation eulogized him as “a fearless champion for the powerless.” Departing human rights commissioner Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein called him “humanity’s best example.” Current U.N. secretary general António Guterres tells us he was a “a guiding force for good” and a leader of “matchless dignity and determination.” He added, “In many ways, Kofi Annan was the United Nations.”

The Most Important Issue In Washington…How to Get Rid of Trump

The Most Important Issue In Washington...How to Get Rid of Trump To be Trump you have to be strong, very strong. You have to know how to translate a vision into reality and how to turn a problem into a challenge. You have to know yourself as well as your enemies. A great leader must know what has to be done and cannot be deterred by convention.

Garden Progenitor: Where It All Began

Garden Progenitor: Where It All BeganAlthough gardening dates to Neolithic times, notes Edward Hyams in his classic A History of Garden and Gardening (1971), ornamental gardening is a product of urban civilization. The first makers of those gardens were ancient Mesopotamians, he says, in the 'land between the rivers.'

Welcome to the New Canadian ‘Re-Leaf’ Party

Welcome to the New Canadian ‘Re-Leaf’ Party Poor Canadian Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer doesn’t seem to get who the real enemy is. Scheer seems to think the enemy is the independent Rebel Media, rather than the left-leaning, Liberal loving, taxpayer-subsidized Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC television), and now independent former Conservative Maxime Bernier who launched his own party right during the Conservative Convention in Halifax on Thursday.

False accusers, fair weather friends, schemers and users

False accusers, fair weather friends, schemers and users I wasn't surprised to learn that Michael Cohen, who said he would "take a bullet" for Trump, snuggled up in Mueller's lap, and it was no surprise that Omarosa, a supposed friend and supporter, tried to capitalize on her association with the President. When you're well off, like Donald Trump, you have literally dozens of friends and supporters. However, when the chips are down, and you need friends, it's usually hard to find one. If you have a friend who will stand by you no matter what, you are blessed because the world is full of fair weather friends, schemers and users.

Uh-oh. CNN saddened to learn that most normal people don’t care much about Manafort and Cohen

Uh-oh. CNN saddened to learn that most normal people don't care much about Manafort and Cohen If you spend all your time watching, studying, and analyzing politics, it’s easy to start thinking that the stuff you care about is the stuff everyone cares about. That’s just a normal side effect of life in the political bubble. Whether you love Trump or hate him, it’s easy to assume the outrage you’re feeling is being experienced everywhere.
