The US is About to Run Out of Diesel fuel

The United States is only holding enough stockpiles of diesel nationwide that is expected to last for about three weeks or even less time, according to the Energy Information Agency (EIA). Hence, diesel prices are surging while the U.S. President Joe Biden's administration is scrambling to contain the challenge. Delivery trucks largely run on diesel fuel while this energy resource plays a crucial role in the logistics services industry across the globe. It's apparent that the U.S. economy is running out of steam. Even if the White House implements emergency measures to increase stockpiles, it's only a short-term stop gap that could result in catastrophic mid-to long-term consequences.(Fox)

Even more ways to produce and save heat

These days there are even more chilly temps to remind us that the heating season is nearly upon us. The following are just a few more ways to produce, capture, and conserve heat on a daily basis. Major sources of heat these days from utilities and retailers are electricity, oil, and natural gas. Alternatives to these suppliers are wood, propane, geothermal, and direct solar. Alternate fuels offer many ways to keep a lid on heating costs. When the cost of one source of heat goes up, others may lag behind. Those that rise more slowly or not at all become the way to go.

Curiously, two very old laws (if the D.C. jury is fair) will decide the January 6 trial of the Oath Keepers.  The trial is the leading edge and center of gravity of the entire January 6 McCarthyist campaign.  Prosecutors have treated this least-guilty group of demonstrators as the lynch-pin of their efforts.   Switching to a “seditious conspiracy” framework disconnected January 6 from events geographically focused on the U.S. Capitol so that the Merrick Garland Department of Justice can now prosecute anyone they don’t like.  The main goal of prosecuting the innocent Oath Keepers – and urgently prior to the mid-term -- is to justify an indictment of Donald Trump, perhaps before November 8. 

Dare to Question Support for Ukraine

Question the billions of dollars being sunk into Ukraine that has resulted in a devastating loss of life, an ensuing energy crisis, and a real threat of nuclear war; and you are politically canceled as a Putin ally.     To be clear, asking questions about the reasons and costs to this conflict is not agreeing with Russia's invasion into Ukraine. To see the bigger picture, the financing of Ukraine is not simply advocating for the virtues of democracy, but rather peeling back the layers of history in the region, revealing Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky's regimes crack down on opposing voices, and questioning the media's narrative that glorifies Zelensky and vilifies Putin.
