The United States is only holding enough stockpiles of diesel nationwide that is expected to last for about three weeks or even less time, according to the Energy Information Agency (EIA). Hence, diesel prices are surging while the U.S. President Joe Biden's administration is scrambling to contain the challenge.
Delivery trucks largely run on diesel fuel while this energy resource plays a crucial role in the logistics services industry across the globe. It's apparent that the U.S. economy is running out of steam. Even if the White House implements emergency measures to increase stockpiles, it's only a short-term stop gap that could result in catastrophic mid-to long-term consequences.(Fox)

Mansfield Energy is now requiring a 72-hour notice for deliveries to obtain freight and fuel “because conditions are rapidly devolving,” the firm told customers, according to Bloomberg News. Fuel prices are running 30 cents to 80 cents higher than the market average, according to the firm.
With diesel supplies dwindling, Goldman Sachs warned on Oct. 25 that a shortage of diesel fuel will likely push prices even higher. The investment bank said in a note that underinvestment in refining capacity coupled with refinery closures and operation disruptions have contributed to the diesel scarcity.
Because long-haul trucks and freight trains run on diesel, a shortage and increase in prices will translate to higher prices on goods and food nationwide.

Note: This is your government dropping its support for fossil fuels without an alternative. Running out of diesel fuel will halt the entire country. Food shelves will go completely bare. Gasoline will become unavailable. Food deliveries will cease. Fire engines or police will not answer calls, buses will not run, trains will not run, aircraft will not fly, for lack of fuel being delivered. Eventually rioting and anarchy will prevail.
The Biden government has no answer! The Democrat Party bought into global warming, climate change, globalism, whatever you want to call it ...and here we are.
Every state governor that has the resources should be drilling for oil, disregarding the edicts coming from Washington. The 10th Amendment allows them to do what is best for their states and the country.
