The quake was centered about 150 miles southeast of downtown LA, but produced shaking from the desert to northern Los Angeles County

A 5.2-magnitude earthquake centered in the desert northeast of San Diego caused shaking early Friday morning across Southern California. The earthquake occurred at 1:05 a.m. about 13.7 miles northwest of Borrego Springs in San Diego County, according to the USGS. The earthquake was initially reported with a magnitude of 5.1 before it was revised to 5.2, according to the USGS. Read more...
