5.2-Magnitude Desert Earthquake Shakes Southern California

A 5.2-magnitude earthquake centered in the desert northeast of San Diego caused shaking early Friday morning across Southern California. The earthquake occurred at 1:05 a.m. about 13.7 miles northwest of Borrego Springs in San Diego County, according to the USGS.
