Freedom of the press is dead or dang close. It does twitch every now and then, but it hasn't shown much evidence of life for decades both here in America and certainly in many other Western nations. The sidelining of Tucker Carlson from Fox is certainly the latest pile of dirt on the coffin.
It may only seem like a free press because few people in the news media are actually complaining. There was a time when any assault on journalism met with rebellion. No much of that anymore. In fact, complaints are now met with nasty diatribes from the vast Leftist media warning of the threat to democracy. They don't even see the irony in that.
The Comment section of online publications is the new front in the ongoing Cancel Culture Battle.
Big Tech and Big Media are gunning for the Conservative Voice—through their Comment Sections.

Excellent piece. Well put. It takes guts and courage to be a investigative journalist in these days. Some of the most courageous ones are woman. Sorry boys, you were brought up by feminists. There are journalists in Mexico and South America that show that courage. Their are editors who standup for their journalists and the truth. I’m reminded of a video that made the rounds last week and some freedom press meeting in New York I believe. And young, very courageous man stood up and called out the New York Times basically calling the cowards. Which they are.

Honestly, any country that would lock its citizens down and destroy the economy to defeat trump and gain power doesn’t deserve to survive. This isn’t America. America would not enable rioting against its own people, use propaganda on its own people, force an experimental vaccine on the population that harmed and killed people. And then destroyed anyone who questioned it.
America is clearly already dead.
