California Attorney General caught using almost $500,000 of campaign funds for his legal defense in a federal bribery investigation

He took $155,000 from a family who’s been paying bribes for over $3 million in taxpayer funded city contracts

Democrats are CORRUPT

“Campaign finance records show he made five payments to a private law firm totaling $468,000. That law firm, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, has a wide range of services including legal help with government investigations and white-collar crime. Bonta's campaign confirmed the payments were for legal help with the ongoing federal bribery investigation”

These were listed as “professional services (legal, accounting).”

The payments relate to an ongoing Oakland federal probe that indicted former Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao, her partner Andre Jones, and members of the Duong family in early 2025 for bribery involving over $3 million in city recycling contract

California AG Rob Bonta received $155,000 in campaign donations from the Duong family and associates

He returned the money after the investigation started (because everyone got caught)

Of course no charges have been filed against California Attorney General Rob Bonta

No one is ever held accountable who works in government, especially California Democrats
