Canadian city sued by Christian ministry for cancelling Sean Feucht worship concert over supposed ‘safety’ concerns

The city of Moncton is facing a lawsuit from a Christian ministry after it cancelled a concert featuring US Christian musician Sean Feucht just two days before the event was scheduled to take place last year.

Burn 24/7 Canada Worship Ministries Society is accusing the city of violating its freedom of expression by cancelling the event. The society filed an action in court on August 4 and is asking the city to acknowledge that it violated freedom of expression protections under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The society is also seeking $50,000 in damages.

The society had organized the “Let Us Worship” tour that features Feucht in the spring of 2025. The Moncton event was scheduled for July 24, 2025, and the city approved the application on April 30, 2025. ---More...
