I have been worried about this happening for years. I tried never to order things on line for that reason but again like you state during this plannedemic we had little choice. So now when even trying to downsize as I am old and no longer need all the things I have gathered over the years, more waste? as I have to put them in the garbage or on line and collect and pay tax on tax on tax again and if I can no longer afford to be on line, then what? When our bills get too high what really is so useless as these computers I have threatened many times to cut the internet but my children say it is so needed ??? It really should not be if we all went off line it would not beable to control our lives.
You are as always so correct and what happens when the power goes out as they also control that?, everything shuts down? as I have seen already neighbours who keep no cash on had are lost and come to borrow cash for emergencies. Where neighbourhood stores using cash used to be able to use a battery calculator and enter the amounts into the till later. We already do not trust governments or banks etc.
