Changing the Tax Code


It is so interesting to see how people react to things. Take wealth for example, it doesn't seem like young people have a problem with billionaires Mark Zuckerberg or Jan Koum. But they have a vitriolic reaction to Mitt Romney or Donald Trump. People who pay zero income tax and get government subsidies have no problem criticizing others who legitimately pay no taxes. There is a big difference between illegal tax evasion and legal tax avoidance. I wonder how the little darlings would react if Daddy couldn't buy them a car, or prom dress or class ring because he paid taxes that he wasn't required to pay? I'll bet they'd be fussing something fierce. I wonder if it occurs to them that Zuckerberg chooses to give his millions to charity rather than donate it to the government. I'm guessing he and Trump agree that the government is not the best steward of our tax dollars. I hope our young voters take a minute to think about how they view money, theirs and others. Someday they may be faced with the decision whether to donate to the government. And, by the way, young people, old people and Donald Trump believe changes need to be made to the tax code.
