Democrats captured control of both the U.S. House and Senate on Tuesday, giving the party the power to advance legislation that would legalize abortion through all nine months of pregnancy nationwide and force taxpayers to fund killing babies.
In the House, the pro-abortion party needed a net gain of only a handful of seats to flip the chamber from the narrow pro-life Republican majority. Early projections indicated Democrats would secure a working majority, with final margins still being tallied in several competitive districts.
In the Senate, Democrats have secured 51 seats and maybe more depending on the final count in multiple races.
Democrats had already outlined their legislative priorities in a September memo from the Cost-of-Living Healthcare Working Group addressed to pro-abortion Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. The document listed, for the first 100 hours of the new Congress, two abortion measures: the Women’s Health Protection Act and the Equal Access to Abortion Coverage in Health Insurance Act. ---More...
