On Wednesday night, at the NBA’s Detroit Pistons’ home opener back in Detroit, after years of playing their games in Auburn Hills, fans decided that they would react in widely disparate ways to two rock stars who are Michigan natives and grew up in the same county, booing Kid Rock while cheering Eminem. Just after the Pistons and Charlotte Hornets players were introduced, Eminem, wearing a blue Pistons shirt and black hoodie, walked to courtside as Lose Yourself was played, took the mic from the Pistons’ announcer and yelled, "Detroit, welcome them back for the first time in over 40 years to our city, to my city, to your city!
