HCA made $5.6 billion dollars last year, I wonder what percentage of that was blood money

Doctors And Nurse And Roaches, Oh My! Corporate Cost Cutting Puts Patients At Risk

Although this article is about a hospital in Hudson, Florida, there are concerns about what is taking place at hospitals across the country.

Bayonet Point Hospital is located in Hudson, Florida. The hospital is owned by HCA Healthcare Inc. HCA is the largest hospital company in the United States. Currently they own/operate 182 hospitals as well as 125 surgery centers and it is obviously a profitable business, last year they earned $5.6 billion dollars.

Well, let's review: in today's world of enriching the pharma and "health care" companies while sacrificing the lives of patients (after all - depopulation!) this is not surprising.

Having been unfortunate enough to have worked in a couple of HCA hospitals, I can add to the poor patient care situations. HCA has a very weird cult of personality thing permeating everything. I actually had a nursing director tell me to "Just nod your head when they tell you what to do, then do what you want to do. Just let them think you are obeying them..."

The board of directors in Tennessee are arrogant micromanagers who have absolutely no discernible leadership skills. The hospital CEOs in HCA are almost all "paint the rocks before inspection to hide what is really going on" cultists. They give lip service to providing good patient care and to supporting physicians, whom they regularly throw under the bus in favor of the clipboard nurse mafia and the board's insatiable greed.

How HCA gets away with what appears to be a Stark Law violation with their practice of forcing newly purchased HCA hospitals to use the EMR Meditech...the absolute worst electronic medical record system in existence...when the owner of Meditech sits on the HCA board of directors sure seems to reek of blatant political corruption.

Will never send a patient to an HCA facility, nor will I ever work for such a bogus organization.
