Vlad Putin, after gaining ultimate power, supposedly had a Christian religious experience causing him now to wear a crucifix. But leftism, with its humanist conceit, is still prone to savior delusions. For example, British father of socialism, atheist industrialist Robert Owens, founded the socialist Utopia of New Harmony, Indiana – then came to believe he was the necessary messiah:

Putin as Russian messiah? I have been developing Christian radio inside of Russia since 1993. All was well until Putin became president. Over the years, he enforced decrees and legislation that basically outlawed the development of Christian media, shut down a number of Christian FM radio stations, enacted extremism laws that stopped freedom of religion (restricting evangelism and discipleship activities of churches, bible distribution, preventing bible studies in apartments, preventing missionaries to freely work, restricting pastors activities to their buildings only, stopping free press, etc., etc.

The president of a country who claims to be an Orthodox christian who outlaws Christians from proclaiming Christianity freely, IS NOT A CHRISTIAN. By their fruit you shall know them.

It has to do with NATO encroaching too close to Russia,.NATO's purpose was to keep the USSR out of Europe.This reckless idiot the secretary general of NATO Stoltenberg said “if the Kremlin’s aim is to have less NATO on its borders, it will only get more NATO.” That was an arrogantly stupid thing to say. I believe NATO overplayed its hand trying to expand into Ukraine, lets not forget JFK was ready to go to nuclear war over one Missile in Cuba. Putin has to deal with hundreds of missiles surrounding them from NATOs expansion, and has always sucked it up. Ukraine was his red line, he said that on numerous occasion. I guess everything thought his red line was like Obama's red line.

Kelly, I don't know if Putin thinks he is the savior or is just forcing it along or what. But I do know it is absolutely shocking at all the folks blaming his military adventurism on anyone but him.
The Moscow criminal regime has been the worst blight on humanity since ISLAM, and may even top malaria's kill list if given the chance.

Russia has a church.It doesn't need to be evangelized by followers of the heretical Martin Luther. Which has 35,000-40,000 different denominations.
Putin has written a law into the books protecting the complete Bible., not the chopped up version created by man, or the Mormon version.

Why do we in the West get all bent our of shape with such extravagant conjecturing?
Russia has always been ruled by strong men. Putin is no different than any of the others before him. More like Khrushchev than Gorbachov for sure.
Although the Russian Orthodox Church has been active for decades now he is no messiah. He will do what is necessary to provide Russia with stability along the borders. Imagine that one Biden? Ukraine beautiful country that is is has gone through ions of turmoil, today seems an unpredictable mess. Europe and the US have their stubby fingers in that pie, and more than one third of that pie are of Russian descent. I thought we in the states would do what was nesseccary to protect our own Southern borders but with the DNC-led Biden consortium,..well ya never know but it ain't looking so good.
