NORFOLK -- After three long and emotional years, the Kelly family welcomed back one of their own late Thursday. Gucci, their American pit bull terrier, disappeared in 2013 from their yard in San Antonio, Texas, two weeks before they were to move back to Virginia.
Despite making fliers and searching their neighborhood, Ayana Kelly and her family couldn’t find Gucci, whom they bought in Hampton in 2011. Kelly said she believes someone took him.
“We were devastated,” Kelly said. “We really felt like we left a family member behind.”
