The European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde walked out of a World Economic Forum dinner after U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick delivered a speech sharply critical of Europe, Reuters reports citing sources.

Lagarde left the event on Tuesday night as Lutnick’s remarks intensified and drew heckling from the audience.

Shortly after her exit, the hosts called off the dinner before dessert was served.
