ORLANDO, FL – According to data from the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration, 23,297 babies were saved by the state’s “heartbeat law” in 2024 during the seven months after the law took effect. The agency’s data indicates that abortions in the state declined for the first time in five years from 84,052 in 2023down to 60,755 in 2024 – a 28 percent drop.
