As a Catholic, living in Sadieville Kentucky, I live within the Dioceses of Lexington KY. I am not surprised that our Bishop has not spoken out against this action. I have found myself, many times, questioning the wisdom of his thought processes and statements. Many years ago, a young Father Bill Medley, married my wife Karen and myself. So, I do know Bishop Medley, a little bit. May I suggest that Bishop Medley should know better than the (I hope thoughtless) statement that he published.
I understand, and endorse, the Church welcoming in sinners, because we all are. In my short 71 years on this earth, I have never seen the Church bless the sinners' sin...until now, it seems.
To my fellow Catholics, I offer this humble advice, take heart, have faith and by all means, do not fear! Remember, Christ told us that upon Peter, (a person, read people) He would build His Church and the gates of hell would not prevail against it! Christ never lied to us, and never will, nor will He change His mind. We must be mindful of what He did not say as well. He never said that satan wouldn't try to destroy His Church.
I believe that this is what is happening now and we must be aware and act accordingly. It is truly unfortunate that too many of our Church leaders have chosen their own misguided free will over God's free guidance. Pray for them.
In the mean time, and always, "preach the Gospel by the life YOU live" (that is a quote from somebody, and I think it is very good advice.) Keep working on being that good and true Catholic, and have no fear because GOD HAS GOT THIS!!!!

I agree, good people still do good things regardless of the false religion, and the Bible can be a guide, but you don't understand what the Bible truly is. The Bible is a book of Astrology, Biology and Science and is a guidebook for better living, but none of the characters are real. They are the constellations, sun and moon and they mirrored in the body.
