This is what we are paying for in Canada, a public health-care system that has once again failed Canadians so badly that a private American is the stepping to save her. And yet, the moment you say Canada is broken, question the government, or try to hold them to account you get labeled an ex$temist, a n@zi, and other disparaging slanders.

A healthy, and genuinely progressive, democracy requires citizens to question their government and demand accountability. If you’re being told to sit down, be quiet, and obey, that is neither healthy nor progressive.

I am not sure why that is so difficult for many Canadians to understand!

Canada is broken. It is very broken. But we have an opportunity to fix things. That takes hard work. It takes education. It takes people getting involved.

Democracy was never meant to be easy. Stop giving away your power and start using it. Get educated, get involved, and help drive the change we desperately need.
