Before any votes are taken in Congress regarding gun laws, I make the following prediction:

- Some sort of restrictions will be passed.
- Gun control advocates will call it a big win.
- Legal gun sellers will change how they do business.
- Illegal arms dealers will raise the price of the AR15 or other controlled weapons.
- Demand for those weapons on the black market will increase.
- Gun violence will not decrease. All that happens with this sort of legislation is that righteous indignation results in stupid solutions. I guess the only way to prove the point is to pass stupid legislation and see what happens over time. Sadly, unsuspecting Americans will feel safer than they really are.
